Cvetič We investigate meson’s spectrum, decay constant and form factor in a nuclear medium through holographic twoand three-point correlation functions. To describe a nuclear medium composed of protons and neutrons, we consider a hard wall model on the thermal charged AdS geometry and show that due to the isospin interaction with a nuclear medium, there exist splittings of the meson’s spectrum, decay constant and form factor relying on the isospin charge. In addition, we show that the ρ-meson’s form factor describing an interaction with pseudoscalar fluctuation decreases when the nuclear density increases, while the interaction with a longitudinal part of an axial vector meson increases. © 2016 The Author(s). متن کاملStochastic Comparisons of Probability Distribution Functions with Experimental Data in a Liquid-Liquid Extraction Column for Determination of Drop Size Distributions
The droplet size distribution in the column is usually represented as the average volume to surface area, known as the Sauter mean drop diameter. It is a key variable in the extraction column design. A study of the drop size distribution and Sauter-mean drop diameter for a liquid-liquid extraction column has been presented for a range of operating conditions and three different liquid-liquid sy...
متن کاملFDG-PET/CT and CT findings of a benign solitary fibrous tumor of the kidney: correlation with pathology
Herein, we report the F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) findings of a benign solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) of the kidney. The patient was a 63-year-old woman with a mass in the right kidney (10×9.7 cm), incidentally found on CT images. The CT scan showed a lobulated tumor arising from the hilum of the right kidney. The tumor consisted o...
متن کاملTwo-particle properties in nuclear matter at finite temperatures
Correlation effects in nuclear matter at finite temperatures are studied for subnuclear densities (ρ < ρ0) and medium excitation energy, where a nonrelativistic potential approach is possible. A quantum statistical approach is given, where clusters are treated under the influence of a clustered medium treated within a mean field approximation. Spectral functions, in-medium cross sections, and r...
متن کاملChemical potential dependence of π and ρ properties
Using a confining, Dyson-Schwinger equation model of QCD at finite temperature (T ) and chemical potential (μ) we study the behaviour of 〈q̄q〉, mπ, fπ and the masses of the ρand φ-mesons. For each of these quantities there is a necessary anticorrelation between its response to T and its response to μ. (−〈q̄q〉) and fπ decrease with T and increase with μ; mπ is almost insensitive to T and μ until v...
